Giacomo Palazzesi - Musician
Giacomo Palazzesi studied with Pietro Antinori, Odair Assad, Angelo Gilardino. He later studied with Luigi Attademo and Carles Trepat.
He regularly plays in Italy and abroad for Casa da Guitarra of Porto, Conservatoire Royal de Mons, Camerino Festival, GuitarIn, Peccioliper Foundation, Cantar Lontano, Zona Livre AC of Vila Real, Conservatory G. Rossini of Pesaro, Carpi Guitar International, Lira Orfeo Miguel Llobet, Andes Guitar Festival, Radio Nacional Córdoba, Trame Sonore, Scodanibbio Music Festival, etc.
He has made live recordings of Froberger, Scarlatti and Llobet for the broadcast Diapason of Radio Vaticana.
His first album was released by the Guitart publishing label in 2016. This features a work dedicated to the original music for guitar by Jaume Pahissa, Gaspar Cassadó, Miguel Llobet and Manuel De Falla. It was recorded by lutist Antonio Emilio Pascual Viudes, on a 1925 gut stringed guitar. A monographic radio episode of Radio Classica dedicated to the album was conceived and conducted by Luca Ciammarughi.
In 2017 he worked with Carles Trepat in the concerts celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Antonio De Torres and contributed to the soundtrack of “The two soldiers”, a film by Marco Tullio Giordana.
In 2018 he published “Bach & Tárrega: Preludes and Dances” with the label Continuo Records. His last recording, in 2019, was Time Regained: Early Works for Solo Guitar, a monographic disc on Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, published by Da Vinci Classics.
